Patricia Swanson
520 444-0341

Patricia received her BA from William and Mary in 1981; and then graduated from The British American Drama Academy in London in 1983. In 1986, Patricia’s scene painting interests turned to the decorative arts and she studied at The Day Studio, then later at The Faux Institute, Faux Effects Studio, Faux Works, Dundean Studio, The Finishing Source, and The Lynne Rutter Studio. She has also taken master classes at Attelier Nadai in France. Over the years she has had the pleasure of studying with master artisans: Patrick LeHayne, Michel Nadai, Pierre LaFumot, and Carolina D’Ayala Valva.

As a member of the prestigious International Decorative Artist’s Salon for over 13 years, she had exhibited her work at Salon venues all over the world. Her work has been seen in Faux Effects World Magazine, Phoenix Home and Gardens, Tucson Home, and she recently wrote an article in “Master Finish,” a Russian magazine for decorative artists.

Patricia lives in Tucson, Arizona where her licensed contracting company, Finishes First, has completed thousands of successful projects ranging from trompe l'oeil and faux marble, to theatrical creations in plaster.

For several years she taught classes at Pima College. During this time, her popular “Faux for Walls” and “Faux Marble” classes received unanimous “excellent” (5-star) ratings from hundreds of students.
